July 5, 2026 (A Challenging Student)

This week, I taught a student who found it difficult to stay focused during our online lesson. She often became distracted and did not follow my instructions, which made it challenging to keep the class on track. Although I felt frustrated at times, I reminded myself that every student has a different learning style and requires patience. This experience taught me to remain calm, adapt my teaching approach, and continue looking for ways to help every student succeed.

July 6, 2026 (Learning from Feedback)

This week, I also had a discussion with my manager about managing the time during my lessons. The feedback focused on making sure that each activity stays within the scheduled class time. At first, I felt discouraged because I know that every student learns at a different pace, and it can be difficult to balance teaching effectively while staying on schedule. After reflecting on the conversation, I realized that constructive feedback is an opportunity to improve, and I will use it to become a more organized and effective teacher.

July 7, 2026 (Feeling Overwhelmed)

This week was emotionally and mentally exhausting because I had many responsibilities to balance. Between teaching, preparing lessons, completing schoolwork, and managing my personal responsibilities, I often felt overwhelmed. There were moments when I questioned whether I was managing my time effectively, but I reminded myself that growth often comes through challenges. This experience encouraged me to work on my time-management skills and to take better care of my well-being. 

July 8, 2026 (Trusting God During Challenges )

This week I was reminded of the need to be patient and compassionate when teaching, as well as imparting knowledge. When things were difficult I prayed for direction and had to keep in mind that each student had their own needs and abilities and were all a child of God. This experience helped build my faith and gave me a reminder that, “People are like Jesus!”, when I treated them well it was a reflection of Jesus Christ. I wish to work on cultivating more Christ-like traits as I mature myself and in my work.

July 9, 2026 (A Week of Growth)

Looking back on this week, I realize that it has been one of the most challenging weeks since I began teaching online. I experienced difficult classes, received constructive feedback, and struggled to balance all of my responsibilities. Even though I felt discouraged at times, I also learned valuable lessons about patience, resilience, and continuous improvement. I know I still have much to learn, but every challenge helps me become a better teacher, communicator, and professional. 

July 13, 2026 (Article of Faith 13)

Article of Faith 13 teaches us to seek things that are honest, true, virtuous, and praiseworthy. I think that this is the guiding principle for what you're delivering online and what you're consuming online. Work out, before posting or sharing, whether the information is respectful, helpful, and true. This article of faith helps us to engage in social media and other media in positive and responsible ways. 

July 14, 2026 (What did you discover in creating your video script that you would have been oblivious to if you hadn't tried it?)

I have learned a few things from creating my video script. A script is useful to ensure ideas are well organised so the message is clear to the audience; this is what I learned. It also gave me an idea about the time and structure of the video prior to shooting it. In general, I learned that, with proper preparation, time is saved, and the quality of the final product is increased. 

July 15, 2026 ( If someone who doesn't understand your video script or storyboard told you what it was about, how would you describe the importance of it to them?)

Before the production of a video begins, it is essential to create a video script or storyboard, which will describe what you want the video to look like. It helps organise shots, dialogue, visuals, and transitions so that everyone involved in the project understands. This minimizes errors, facilitates effective communication, and decreases downtime in production and post-production. I would tell an employer that it is similar to a blueprint that is used before a house is constructed. 

July 16, 2026 (Using Canva to Create a Life Poster)

I find that I can become more creative and be a better designer with Canva. I know how to use its templates and editing tools to create presentations, posters, or social media graphics. Whether you are a beginner with little design experience or not, the platform is easy to use. I will use Canva again for projects in my school and for designs as well. 

July 17, 2026 (The Importance of Time Management)

One of the essential skills that students should learn is time management. Having a daily plan makes it easier to complete assignments before the deadline and minimizes stress levels. Also, it leaves me time to study, rest, and do other activities. Good time management is a habit to start now that will make me more responsible in my future job. 

July 20, 2026 (Doctrine and Covenants 4:1–3)

Doctrine and Covenants 4 refers to anyone who is willing to do his work with all their heart, might, mind and strength is called to God's work. So much there is I have seen social media become a marvelous tool, when people use it to share uplifting messages, scripture, testimonies etc and acts of kindness. It's a place for people of diverse backgrounds and countries to know and emulate the gospel and to build up each other. I want to utilize social media to be positive, share my faith with respect and inspire others through kindness and service rather than negativity.

July 21, 2026 (Which social media platform do you consider most powerful and why?)

I think that YouTube is the most powerful social media platform, that's a place of entertainment, education and storytelling. Videos can create a better understanding of complex topics than just words, and can be shown to millions of people who live worldwide. YouTube is used by businesses, teachers and establishments to foster trust through the delivery of worthy content gradually. Its long life span videos are still having an impact on people long after the release.

July 22, 2026 (What did you learn in your social media posts that you'd do differently if you could go back?)

I learned that there's more to creating social media posts than creativity itself, it involves planning. I would design more consistent graphics and write more captions that would make for more interaction if I had more time to. I also discovered that the right timing and hashtags can enhance an engagement. Going forward, I will be working on being more organized, reader friendly and visually appealing.

July 23, 2026 (The Importance of Time Management)

Time management is one of the most useful skills I'm learning as a student. I know how to organize and I feel less stressed when I organize my assignments and responsibilities and I am able to do better work. Having a planner/digital calendar keeps me organised and prevents procrastination. I can do better of course, but I have learned improved time management translates to better performance in school and in life.

July 24, 2026 (A Skill I Want to Improve)

Personal skills to further learn are communication. Effective communication of ideas is vital to school, work and life. Good listening is as essential as speaking - I think it's where understanding and respect comes in. Learning and practice will help me to develop as more self-assured and effective communicator.

July 28, 2026 (Applying Editing Principles to Living the Gospel)

As we engage with the challenge to live the Gospel, the spiritual prompt is to apply the principles of editing.

Writers revise their compositions to improve meaning, clarity, and accuracy. I think it's not too different from living the gospel, in that we're always making little changes in our lives, and we're never expecting immediate perfection. We can become a "little better" through kindness, forgiveness, and mercy, as President Gordon B. Hinckley reminds us. As we edit our writing, we are enabled to be better disciples every day as we go through the process of sincere repentance and self-reflection.

July 29, 2026 (Professional Prompt: Feature Writing vs. News Writing)

The strengths of feature writing are that the writer can tell a story in a more palatable and personal tone than news writing. It enables writers to develop emotions, background, and human experiences to make readers relate to the topic. Feature writing, however, can involve more research and production and may not be able to provide instant information as news writing can. News writing works well in reporting timely facts, while feature writing is better at bringing about an understanding of the significance of these facts to the reader. 

July 30, 2026 (How Frequent Blog Writing Has Impacted Me) 

When it comes to blogging services, frequent writing has played a vital role in my life. In terms of blogging services, my exposure to it has been quite large.

Creating blog articles regularly has helped ease my way of writing my thoughts. I don't spend as much time worrying about making every sentence perfect, as I know I can edit the work later on. Blogging has also aided me in the organization of my thoughts and in composing for a targeted audience. I think that the more I practice, the more confident and efficient I get as a writer.

This is a great way to make yourself more prepared for opportunities in the future. Little things repeated daily can have a great impact on long-term development. I like challenging myself because it helps me gain more confidence and gives me more options. I will maintain a focus on curiosity and learning throughout my career.

I sometimes find it hard to balance schoolwork with personal time; however, it is important for future success. Having a schedule gives me organization and reduces pressure when approaching deadlines. As well as spending time with my family, resting, and enjoying hobbies, I set aside time to recharge and remain motivated. A healthy balance allows me to do a better job in school and enjoy my life. 

August 4, 2026 (The Role of Compassion in News Writing)

The quote from Joseph Smith reminds me that kindness and compassion are important even in news writing. Journalists often report about people who are experiencing difficult situations, so they should remember that their subjects are human beings and not simply sources for a story. Compassion does not mean ignoring the truth, but it can help a writer present information respectfully and avoid unnecessary harm. I think good news writing should balance accuracy with empathy, especially when reporting about people who are vulnerable.

August 5, 2026 Newsworthy vs. Sensational 

In my opinion, something is newsworthy when it has importance, relevance, impact, or a strong connection to the community. Sensational information may attract attention because it is dramatic or shocking, but that does not necessarily make it important news. A responsible journalist should focus on information that helps readers understand what happened and why it matters. News should inform people rather than simply trying to get clicks or reactions.

August 6, 2026 (What Interviewing Has Taught Me)

Interviewing has helped me understand that good journalism requires more than simply asking questions and recording answers. It has taught me to listen carefully and pay attention to details that can reveal the human side of a story. During an interview, follow-up questions can also lead to information that may not have been discussed in the original question. Interviewing has made me more comfortable communicating with people and has helped me understand how personal experiences can make a story more meaningful.

One thing I have learned from writing regularly is that starting can sometimes be harder than actually writing. Once I begin putting my thoughts into words, it becomes easier to organize what I want to say. Writing every day also helps me notice areas where I need to improve, especially grammar, clarity, and organization.
